   We’ve decided to remove this class from the list of open proposals. Although the description is humorous in its brevity, it could be any number of maternity or child-rearing classes already available throughout the city. Children support wildly profitable industry that preys on parents’ insecurities over raising children. Perhaps if the course had a more precise description (learn about baby’s anatomies? learn about communicating with babies?) then we would leave it as an open proposal. Another concern was that the course has no clear relationship to the context of cultural production, which may actually be a welcome complication: the aesthetics of babies? how is motherhood discouraged in the arts? should this be a class for learning about other peoples’ babies?
