A proposal for LACMA: A class restaging Robert Irwin and James Turrell’s collaboration for the LACMA program “Art & Technology” in 1968-1969, including the various experiments they describe in their documentation. We’ll pretend that one part of the Serra sculpture is an anechoic chamber and the other part can produce a Ganz field. The class could dramatize Irwin and Turrell’s falling out.
