Processing : an electronic sketchbook for developing ideas

an introduction to interactive graphics programming for artists and non-programmers .Hopefully we will gain an understanding of object-oriented programming via the Processing programming environment as well as historical and theoretical appreciation of interactivity and computer graphics as artistic mediums. No previous programming experience required though fami liarity with coding and an alert mind high on caffeine could help.i'll pretty much follow this book --> C.E.B.
intro to electronic music

I would like to learn how about the past, present and future of electronic music.It would be cool if we could listen to some samples and maybe use an app to compose music as well (good old garage band, logic, ableton?)

the public school will be hosting open hours at our location on chung king road every friday from noon to seven pm. this could be the perfect time to finish up your reading list, write that class proposal you keep putting off, take a look at our library, or just catch your breath and drink a cup of coffee as you idle around chinatown. bring your lunch, your book, and whatever else you are working on.

The Public School Berlin was recently invited to contribute a catalogue text to an upcoming exhibition to be held in town this spring. The exhibition will address the function of art projects and spaces in redefining/reimagining the world we live outside of economic globalization, institutional discourse, hegemonic social and political systems and so on.

How is the system that constitutes “contemporary art” - the relations between artists, viewers, institutions, biennales, art fairs, gallerists, critics, theorists - independent from localized cultural, social, political and economical circumstances? Is there a global art, one contemporary art, now? The answer is obviously, no, but we want to find out what happens in sites that are not part of the dominant nodes of the contemporary art world.

I've been doing research on poetry in Los Angeles from the late 19th century to the 70s, mostly concentrating on radical or experimental trends. Los Angeles doesn't have a strong "tradition" or sense of continuity with its past "cultures" of poetry -- moments happen, linger, then disappear.
