day one: learn the various pastes, types of molds, shapes of piñata, kinds of material/decorations
learn the lyrics to "the piñata song"
discuss the historical origins and cultural context of piñatas
create a small, individual piñata of your own and help build a large nine-pointed star piñata for the class
day two: pick-up finished personal piñata
participate in the piñata party where we will fill the class piñata with anything you'd like.
come get blindfolded, turned in circles and given a stick to break open the hanging piñata.
bring your own material.
scrap cardboard, newpaper, colored tissue paper, wire, paintbrushes, white glue, liquid starch
decorations and whatever you'd like to fill the piñata with.
