Pamphlet Finishing Workshop for French Theory Today

Organizing Committee:

This class will begin with a lesson followed by an open workshop. In the lesson we will demonstrate stitching signatures and folding and fitting covers using a custom jig; in the workshop we will transform stacks of printed pages into finished pamphlets.

We will be working on French Theory Today—An Introduction to Possible Futures, a set of 5 pamphlets published by The Public School in editions of 150, documenting a seminar led by Alex Galloway at The Public School New York in 2010.

Session 1 | Saturday, September 3rd, 12:30pm - 6pm

Session 2 | TBA

Park Slope, Brooklyn, TBA.

I forgot to mention that this workshop will go until 6pm. Please feel free to leave early or arrive late, as you wish.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for your interest in this workshop. We're holding the first session this coming Saturday, September 3rd, at 12:30pm. If you plan on attending, please email to RSVP so that I have a sense of how many people will be there, and thus how many jigs/templates to create, etc. I will reply with address details.

(Also note that although we aim to host all TPS classes in public spaces, we're making an exception for this workshop which will be held in a Park Slope apartment, as this is where all the printed pages and binding materials currently live.)

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
