Field Recording the 17-year Cicada — Harriman State Park

+ Attending
For those who haven’t been to previous classes, we have been attempting to record the current brood of 17-year cicadas for posterity & fun. For our last class we ventured out to Staten Island, and you can find the results of that trek here:
This is the final field expedition, we will be taking the train to Tuxedo, NY and hiking through Harriman State Park to search for cicadas. Because of the distance, it will be our longest trek so prepare for a full afternoon of travel & hiking.

We will meet in the NJ Transit section of Penn Station at 12:30pm. There is a pillar between the main ticket window and the rack of train schedules--I will be waiting there holding a TPSNY sign for ease of visibility. If possible, show up ahead of time to get tickets so we can avoid rushing to the train.
Please indicate via the public school website if you plan to attend, that way we can notify you if there are any changes to the plan.
