You just need to Login or Register to make a class proposal. (Sorry about that, but it cuts down on spam and also helps with organizing)

Utopia School Fall 2014 NYC session: 2nd Deadline for Proposals

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Utopia School’s Fall 2014 NYC session!

  • April 15th 2014 is the second deadline for proposals, at which time they will be reviewed by the Utopia School committee for inclusion in the Fall 2014 NYC session
  • There will be two more deadlines following this call, so let us know if you prefer to submit later.

  1. What kind of contribution(s): developing a class or lecture, workshop, field trip, experimental research, leading a ritual, performing, making an installation, documenting the school, writing, etc.
  2. We are also looking for RESIDENTS to come live with us. This could mean a hacker in residence, dumpster-diver in residence, archivist in residence, documentarian in Residence, etc. If you feel your skills might contribute to the building and running of our experimental learning space, please let us know what those skills are and how long you would like to come live with us.
  3. Describe your proposed contribution: Recommended 500-1000 words. Include your availability (days/hours per day), and what materials or resources you would need.
  4. Who you plan to work with, if you know already. If not, that is ok - we are encouraging an open, collaborative process.

Given the wide variety of participation possibilities, we are asking participants to send in their proposals in one of the following ways:

  1. Add your proposal(s) to First register / login on, then use the full proposal form at and add a note that it’s a proposal for Utopia School.
  2. Or email us the same information to We will then review it at our first open review session, along with the other TPS class proposals.
  3. Come to our next Open Review Session in person or via Skype, and tell us about your idea. Please do this even if you have already submitted via email or The Public School. For us, “in-person” conversation about proposed classes are essential to building the school.

Please let us know if you have any questions (for more help using TPS, see this help page). We're looking forward to working with you! - The Utopia School committee
