You just need to Login or Register to make a class proposal. (Sorry about that, but it cuts down on spam and also helps with organizing)

The Public School Berlin at A Public Library

image

Hi everyone,

We have some exciting news: The Public School Berlin has a new home. We’ll be hosted by A Public Library, a new initiative currently located at the Bona-Peiser-Bibliothek in Berlin Kreuzberg (Oranienstr. 72, 10969 Berlin). We are grateful for all the support that our dear friends at Archive Kabinett provided for the school over the last three years and look forward to carry on this collaboration in a broader frame.

A Public Library will be open on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons so future TPSB classes will be taking place on those days. We plan to schedule many meetings and classes in the coming months: Please take a look at the recent proposals and add yourself if you are interested; make new proposals for things you’d like to see happen; or stop by when we hold our first classes later this month.

We’d also would like to do more classes in German, so don’t feel like you only need to propose in English!

Stay tuned for more information and hope to see you all soon!

Cheers,

TPSB Committee

Hallo,

TPSB Committee

GUIDELINES

THE ARCHITECTONICS OF ANSWERABILITY

This week we start our 2-day-long reading group of Bakhtin's early essays discussing his architectonics of answerability. In the first session happening this Saturday, April 27, we will read the short text "Art and Answerability" as well as an abstract of "Towards a Philosophy of the Act" (p. 1-4; 40-54).

Re Later Heidegger

This post was made to the blog for Later Heidegger: The Origin of the Work of Art

Just a note---feel free to attend future sessions even if you've missed the first two meetings---we're reading "Truth and Art" for next Saturday's class.
